The rule

False imprisonment is the unlawful confinement of another person without consent and without legal authority. No asportation or concealment is required; any bounded restraint of the victim's freedom of movement suffices.

The lesser included offense of kidnapping. Locking someone in a room, even briefly, without lawful authority is enough.
