Privacy Policy

We collect only the information needed to run the Platform and deliver the study experience. The categories are:

1.1 Waitlist Information

When you join the waitlist we collect your email address and, optionally, your jurisdiction and target exam date. We also record basic referral context (such as UTM parameters and the referring page) so we know how you found us.

1.2 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address. Account authentication is handled by Supabase, our authentication and database provider.

1.3 Study Activity

As you use the Platform we record your question attempts, scores, and mastery data. This is the data that powers adaptive practice, per-rule mastery tracking, spaced repetition, and your analytics.

1.4 Content You Create

The Platform stores the content you create while studying: your essay and MPT submissions, your conversations with the AI tutor, and your notes.

1.5 Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details; Stripe provides us with transaction records sufficient to manage your purchase and any refunds.

1.6 Usage and Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and our hosting provider (Vercel) generates standard server logs. See our Cookie Policy for details on cookies and local storage.

• To provide the Platform: authenticate you, save your progress, grade your work, and personalize your study plan.
• To power adaptive features: your question attempts, scores, and mastery data drive question selection, review scheduling, and analytics.
• To process AI features: your essay and MPT submissions, practice question interactions, and AI tutor messages are processed by AI providers as described in Section 3.
• To communicate with you: waitlist updates, launch notifications, account and purchase emails, and support responses.
• To operate the business: process payments, handle refunds and guarantee claims, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the product.

We do not sell your data.

Vrenberg Bar is an AI-powered product, and we want to be plain about what that means for your data: when you submit an essay or MPT answer for grading, work through practice questions, or message the AI tutor, that text is sent to third-party AI providers — OpenAI and Anthropic — via their APIs for processing. This is how grading, explanations, and tutoring are generated.

These providers process the data on our behalf to deliver the feature. For details on the limitations of AI-generated content, see our AI Disclaimer.

We share data only with the service providers required to operate the Platform:

• Supabase— authentication and database (account data, study activity, and the content you create).
• Stripe— payment processing.
• Vercel— hosting and content delivery.
• OpenAI and Anthropic — AI processing of essays, practice questions, and tutor messages.
• Google Analytics — site analytics.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Vrenberg or others. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or similar corporate transaction, subject to protections at least equivalent to this policy.

We retain your information for as long as it is needed to provide the Platform to you and to meet our legal and operational obligations, such as tax and payment records.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@vrenberg.com. We will honor deletion requests except where we are required to retain specific records by law.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated database access with row-level security, and payment handling delegated entirely to Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise any of these rights by emailing support@vrenberg.com. We respond to all requests, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising them.

The Platform is intended for adults preparing for bar examinations and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at support@vrenberg.com and we will delete it.

The Platform is operated from the United States and the service providers listed above process data in the United States and other jurisdictions. By using the Platform, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on the Platform and, where appropriate, communicated to the email address associated with your account. Your continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
